All of our pieces are made with recycled solid 14K or 18K gold and designed & handmade in Montreal. Because we don’t use gold plating or vermeil, your jewelry will never fade or wear away. Water will not damage the metal nor will the pieces ever dis-color. We specifically use solid gold to ensure high quality pieces that resist time and can be passed on to generations to come.

While gold has a shine and a luster all its own, it’s also a soft metal. Your jewelry is susceptible to dings, scratches, and dents. Be mindful of your gold jewelry while you wear them and remove them while playing any high-contact sports. To clean your jewelry, fill a bowl with 2 cups of warm water and several drops of mild dish detergent. Soak your 14K gold jewelry in the solution for 15 minutes. Scrub the gold jewelry with a soft baby toothbrush or a cotton swab then rinse it with water.
Shipping
Proud Diamond takes pride in its commitment to customer satisfaction and offers free delivery to Canada, the United States, and Europe. Once your order is ready, you will receive an email with all the shipping details, including a tracking number. We can also ship our packages to Africa, Asia, and Oceania, but please note that shipping and customs fees will apply.
Here is an approximate delivery timeline based on your region:
- Eastern Canada: 2 to 5 days
- Western Canada: 7 to 10 days
- Eastern United States: 2 to 5 days
- Western United States: 7 to 10 days
- Europe: 10 to 15 days
Proud Diamond does not assume any responsibility for delivery times, as these are only estimates and we have no control on transport companies.
Due to our artisanal approach and rigorous quality checks before shipping, please allow a crafting time of 2 to 4 weeks for your jewelry.
For custom jewelry, you can generally expect to receive it within 2 to 4 weeks after approving the design. However, the precise timeline may vary depending on the complexity of your design and the availability of diamonds and/or gemstones in the market.
If you need a last-minute piece of jewelry, we offer several options to receive it within a few days. Please check our "Last Minute Gifts" section on our website, where you will find our available items ready for shipping.
Returns
Proud Diamond offers the option to return or exchange an item within 30 days from the date of receipt of your order. However, it's important to note that custom-made jewelry is not eligible for returns or exchanges. Furthermore, if the item was purchased on sale, it is considered a final sale, and, therefore, no returns or exchanges will be authorized for discounted items.
When you wish to initiate a return or exchange, please ensure that the item is in its original condition, meaning it has never been worn, and is accompanied by its original packaging. This condition is essential for processing your return.
Please be aware that presenting your receipt is mandatory for any return or exchange request.
Please take into consideration that the time for receiving the returned or exchanged item may vary depending on your place of residence. We strongly recommend opting for a shipping service with tracking or purchasing shipping insurance. While we cannot guarantee the receipt of the returned or exchanged item, please note that all shipments made by Proud Diamond are insured. Therefore, in the event of an incident, rest assured that we will recreate the piece.
Non-Returnable Items
Please note that gift cards, custom-made jewelry, as well as items purchased on sale, are not eligible for return and/or exchange.
Refund
Upon receiving your return, our team will conduct an inspection to determine whether it can be authorized. Approval for a return may take up to 7 business days after receiving the package. Subsequently, you will receive an email confirming the receipt of your item, as well as the approval or denial of the return. The refund will then be processed; please allow up to 10 business days following the approval of the return for the amount to be credited to your bank account.

Warranty
Proud Diamond extends a 5-year warranty, applicable in Canada and internationally, for engagement rings and wedding bands, including but not limited to custom rings unless the diamonds or gems are provided by the customer.
This warranty encompasses:- All defects incurred during the craftsmanship process, i.e. craftsmanship defects.
However, the warranty does not cover:
- Scratches, cracked diamonds, misshaped wedding bands, or damage resulting from impacts.
- Stolen of lost rings
To qualify as a craftsmanship defect, our jewelers must verify that the issue arose from our craftsmanship rather than from typical wear and tear or other external factors. Should damage be attributed to a craftsmanship defect, Proud Diamond will repair or replace the affected parts without charge. Occasionally, a fee may apply. In rare instances, and as a testament to our commitment, we may replace the entire item at no cost.
Center Stones and Diamonds:
These are not included under our lifetime warranty. We urge customers to secure personal insurance for their jewelry. Should a center stone become loose, we offer complimentary check-ups. However, the warranty does not encompass the loss of a center stone. In such events, customers are advised to reach out to their personal insurance providers.
Complimentary Services:
We provide a free annual prong inspection, complemented by a thorough cleaning. Customers can mail their ring to us or directly visit our Atelier. While shipping costs to our Atelier fall on the customer, return delivery fees are on us. For international customers, please be aware of potential taxes, customs charges, and shipping fees. In order to maintain coverage of our Warranty, Proud Diamond requires a regular cleaning and inspection every year starting from the time of your original purchase.
Important Notice:
Should any alterations be made to your engagement ring or wedding band by an external jeweler, it will result in the voiding of Proud Diamond’s 5-year warranty. We prioritize the integrity and quality of our pieces and urge our customers to do the same.
All of our products are produced with the highest level of detail and quality. We offer a free, 5-year warranty against manufacturing defects on all Proud Diamond jewelry. An example of a manufacturing defect would be a broken clasp, chain detachment from a jump ring, or loose diamonds and prongs. General wear and tear, scratches, stretched chains/rings, or jewelry damaged by improper use, cleaning or storage are not considered manufacturing defects. The alteration or servicing of your jewelry by a third party will void your warranty.

We want you to have 100% confidence in your purchase. That's why our qualified certified GIA experts ensure that each diamond meets our commitment to quality. Each diamond is rigorously assessed according to the "4C" standards: color, carat, clarity, and cut. Here are our quality criteria for diamonds at Proud Diamond:- Color: Colorless or nearly colorless
- Clarity: VVS (Very Very Slightly Included), VS (Very Slightly Included), and SI (Slightly Included)
- Cut: Ideal or Excellent
For diamonds of one carat or more, you will receive a Diamond Grading Report from the world's foremost gemological laboratories, including the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) and the International Gemological Institute (IGI). We also offer the option to authenticate diamonds under one carat for an additional fee.
