All our jewelry is imagined, designed, and handcrafted in Montreal by our team of skilled jewelers and setters. We use only recycled 10K, 14K, or 18K gold to create each piece. Because we don’t use gold plating or vermeil, our jewelry maintains its natural shine and won’t tarnish or fade over time. Each piece is made to last, as long as it’s cared for properly. :)
We specifically use solid gold to ensure high quality pieces that resist time and can be passed on to generations to come.
Solid gold has an unmatched shine and durability. However, it is a relatively soft and malleable metal, which means your jewelry can be sensitive to knocks, scratches, and dents.
Handle your pieces with care, especially when putting them on or taking them off, to avoid damaging the clasp mechanism. We also recommend removing your jewelry before going to the beach, exercising, or using chemical products. For more delicate designs, it’s best not to wear them while sleeping. An annual inspection of the prongs is also highly recommended.
To clean your jewelry, simply use a soft brush with mild soap, then rinse thoroughly with warm water.

Once your order is ready, you will receive an email with all the shipping details, including a tracking number. 5-Year Warranty: Engagement rings and Wedding bands
At Proud Diamond, we stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our jewelry and offer a free 5-year warranty against craftsmanship defects on engagement rings and wedding bands purchases.
Should you encounter any damage attributable to craftsmanship, please reach out to us at hello@prouddiamond.com with images, a brief video, and a description of the damage so we may evaluate your piece.
In the case of craftsmanship defects, Proud Diamond will, at its discretion, repair the warrantied damage or replace the item without charge. Occasionally, a fee may apply.
Our craftsmanship warranty excludes coverage for:
As we fully support our designs and skilled jewelers, any modification or servicing of your Proud Diamond jewelry by a third-party or external jeweler will void your warranty.
If the damage is not covered by the warranty, Proud Diamond may repair the item at the customer's expense.
The warranty does not extend to the replacement of a center stone.
We strongly recommend securing appropriate insurance coverage for your jewelry through a third-party provider.
Complimentary service
We offer a complimentary annual prong inspection, accompanied by a thorough cleaning.
Customers can send their rings to our workshop by mail or schedule an appointment to drop off their jewelry in person. If the item will be sent by mail, we will provide a shipping label with a tracking number.
Please note that a flat-discounted rate of $25.00 CAD will be charged for two-way fully insured shipping.
To schedule a prong inspection and/or cleaning, please contact us by email, specifying your preference between dropping off the jewelry at our workshop or mailing it.

1-Year Warranty : Fine Jewelry
Proud diamond extends a 1-year warranty, valid in Canada only, for all jewelry other than engagement rings and wedding bands.
If, upon assessment, the damage is deemed irreparable via images, we may not accept the item back for further evaluation.
If the damage is not covered by the warranty, Proud Diamond may repair the item at the customer's expense

Ring Sizing
Proud Diamond offers complimentary ring sizing for adjustments within one size. Adjustments greater than one size incur a $75.00 CAD fee. Additional fees of $75.00 CAD apply for a second ring sizing.
Please note that rings with diamonds all around, such as, but not limited to eternity rings, do not qualify for complimentary adjustments.
Customers have the option to either send their ring to our atelier by mail or schedule an appointment with us to personally drop off their ring at our workshop.
For adjustments, we will cover the shipping costs to and from our workshop. If the jewelry is sent by mail, we will provide you with a shipping label with a tracking number.
Returns and Exchanges
Your satisfaction is our priority. Returns and exchanges are accepted within 30 days from the date of delivery. Beyond this period, all sales are final.
Items not eligible for return or exchange include:
Loose diamonds bought for a piece are non-returnable or exchangeable once the deposit on the diamonds has been paid.
Limited edition jewelry items are not eligible for return or exchange. Deposits or payments made towards these items are non-refundable.
In the event of a return, a flat-discounted rate of $25.00 CAD will be charged for two-way fully insured shipping.
Proud Diamond covers both outbound and return shipping costs for exchanges.
Proud Diamond reserves the right to refuse a return or exchange.

Karat measures gold purity, 1 karat = 1/24 gold purity. With 24 karats being pure but soft, less ideal for jewelry. Gold is alloyed for durability, like 18 karat (75% gold) for intricate pieces, and 14 karat (58.3% gold) for a balance of strength and affordability. This applies to yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold. For your information, our 18-karat yellow gold has a richer hue compared to 14-karat yellow gold. The tone of our yellow gold is soft and subtle, avoiding an overly yellow appearance. As for 18-karat rose gold, the color is also deeper than that of 14-karat rose gold.
To determine the size of the bracelet you need, use a string, a pencil, and a ruler. Wrap the string around your wrist so that it goes all the way around, then use the pencil to mark where the two ends of the string meet. Then, take the string and measure its length using your ruler, in inches. Here is a size chart.
Carat is a measurement of weight for diamonds and other precious stones. To give you an idea of the size of a carat, it is also possible to measure it in millimeters, as shown in the table below. Larger diamonds are much more difficult to create in a laboratory and, therefore, are more expensive.
